The Wind & Fire MC was started as a motorcycle club designed to unite Harley Davidson-riding firefighters from around the country, and expanded internationally. Wind & Fire MC Inc. is awesome in its reach. The Club has over 5,000 members and as of 2018 the Club stretches into all but one state in the USA and into 22 countries. Wind & Fire MC is recognized worldwide by every major motorcycle club.

A secondary focus of the Club is charity. The MC lends support to chapter-held charity events through its Charity Credit program. The focus of the Club's several dozen annual charity events are often to aid burn-injured children or terminally-ill kids. Any donation to the Club designated as charitable is transferred 100% to that charity.

Thunder Mountain Wind & Fire MC is the 81st chapter of Wind & Fire International.

Thunder Mountain Wind & Fire MC was formed in September 2002 to bring the brotherhood of firefighters back into the fire service on two wheels. Our chapter has members from Thornton to Nunn as well as Del Norte, CO, Wickenburg, AZ and Cody, WY. "Our group will benefit the public welfare through fire safety awareness and education, and by raising funds to assist victims and families of fire, disasters, serious illness, other persons with financial needs; to fund research or scientific endeavors, or to contribute to any other charitable purpose or cause." We have organized a number of charity events including two for a local 5-year-old girl with a brain tumor, one for a local teen with cancer, an event for the Burn Center in Greeley, a number of events for Partners Mentoring Youth, multiple events for Angel Faces, a ride for 911For911, Colorado Gold Star Project and American Heroes In Action. This year, we are working with American Heroes In Action again as well as raising money for scholarships for two people to attend fire or EMS classes.

Thunder Mountain Wind & Fire MC acquired two refurbished fire engines, equipment and gear for the firefighters on the island of Cozumel, Mexico. We also provided the Brownsville Volunteer Fire Department in Brownsville South Dakota with hydraulic rescue tools and the necessary training
